Ekta Kapoor rocks, says Sky aka Akashdeep Saigal

Akashdeep Saigal, now famous as Sky, is controversy’s favorite child. He can be termed the bad boy of Indian TV. Thanks to his brash ways clubbed with his heart of gold, he is often compared to Salman Khan. And just like the Bollywood actor, people close to this TV star completely vouch for his friendship.

His close friends include Amit Sarin, Zulfi Sayed, Chetan Hansraj and above all Balaji Telefilms’ Ekta Kapoor. In fact, Sky met Ekta Kapoor just a day before leaving for Bigg Boss house. “She is the sweetest female buddy I have. She is one of the nicest people on earth,” Sky told Tellychakkar.com before entering the Bigg Boss house. Not only this, he shares a great equation with her and that’s why he made it a point to meet her before entering the reality show.

In fact, he praised Ekta for making him a household name through the character Ansh in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. “I completely love, respect and adore her for what she has given to the TV industry,” he said. In fact, according to him, Ekta’s future is very bright. “I think in the near future roads and railway stations will be named after Ekta,” revealed Sky.

“She just keeps making history all the time, whether it is daily soaps or films, she just rocks,” he ended.

Virat and Maanvi to get arrested in Ek Hazaaron Main...

Furthermore, more drama will unfold in the upcoming episodes as Virat (Kushal Tandon) and Maanvi (Niaa Sharma) will land up in a trouble and get arrested.

Here’s the real dope. Vadera house will organize a huge New Year party, but Maanvi, who is known for her impulsive and mischievous nature, will not like it at all. Hence Virat will decide to take her out on one condition that they will be back by 12 in the night. Virat and Maanvi will halt at a dhaba where Virat will indulge in a massive fight with few goons. Soon later, Maanvi and Virat will get arrested.

Furthermore, Viren (Karan Tacker), who is a lawyer, will come to know about the incident and set out to help them. Finally, Viren will have a huge argument with Swamini (Seema Kapoor) on the issue.

Abida Parveen, Suresh Wadkar and Runa Laila to judge Sur-Kshetra

Tellychakkar.com was the first to report that Sahara One’s singing reality show Sur-Kshetra will have a renowned panel of judges. Now, here’s revealing the names of them.

If sources are to be believed then musical maestros Abida Parveen, Suresh Wadkar and Runa Laila have been roped in to judge the show.

Abida is a Pakistani singer who is renowned for her ghazals and Urdu love songs. She can sing in Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi and Persian. Furthermore, Suresh Wadkar is an Indian playback singer who has impressed all with his soulful renditions in many Hindi movies and private albums. And of course, who doesn’t know about power-packed singer Runa Laila and her eternal song Dama Dam Mast Kalandar.

It is also believed that more names will be included in the panel of judges.

Sur-Kshetra is being produced by Gajendra Singh and will hit the screens next year. Himesh Reshammiya and crooner Atif Aslam will be representing India and Pakistan as the captains of their respective teams in the battle of voices.

Navya hits a double ton

Siddharth Tewary’s Navya on Star Plus struck the right chord with the audiences, right from the start and is a hit amongst the youngsters. The show which has been able to create a good emotional connect with the audience, completed 200 episodes yesterday (30 December 2011).

And to celebrate this occasion, the entire cast and crew were present on the sets and cut a cake. Soumya Seth, who plays the protagonist Navya in the daily, is touched by the amount of appreciation and love she has received through the show. An elated Soumya says, “I am on cloud nine and it’s an amazing feeling. I would like to thank all the fans who have loved and appreciated our work.”

Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary is very happy with the feedback he has received till date. “It has been a nice journey. And in coming weeks there will be some good surprises for the viewers,” he says.

Buzz is that Anant-Navya will finally unite and get married in January 2012.
